For over 30 years, Happiness House has been a place of connection and support for the Tahuna (Queenstown) community, offering resources, advocacy and a welcoming space for all. Happiness House strives to make everyone who walks through their door feel like they are part of a community supported by community. They work alongside people to find what they need, build connections and foster a sense of belonging.

Why Happiness House Matters

Happiness House is more than a community hub—it’s a vital support network for many in the Queenstown Lakes District. Whether it’s providing food parcels, offering affordable clothing, helping people navigate through different services or simply being there for a chat, Happiness House supports people to overcome challenges and connect within the community.

The Happiness House Endowment Fund

To ensure their impact continues for more generations, in 2018 Happiness House established an Endowment Fund with the Wakatipu Community Foundation. The aim of this fund is to provide a sustainable financial foundation for decades to come.
