Our Community Funds

​​Love Queenstown is a funding platform that invites visitors and the tourism industry to protect Queenstown, now and for generations to come.

​

The vision for the fund is for the visitor industry to enrich this place and the lives of the local community, now and into the future. To create mutual value for whānau / whānui (our families, communities, and visitors), our whenua (our place and natural resources) and our economy.

Love Queenstown aims to

• Raise funds and awareness for local environmental action

• Educate and inspiring our visitors

• Create a culture of giving within our visitor industry

​

In 2024 the first round of grants of $25,000 were awarded to Whakatipu Reforestation Trust, Tahuna Glenorchy Dark Skies Group and Whakatipu Wildlife Trust for pest eradication work.

​

80% of each donation will be used to support local groups doing great work in the environmental and sustainability space in the Whakatipu, with the remaining 20% invested in an endowment fund which will provide ongoing funding in perpetuity.

​

Businesses are invited to join the movement by becoming a Love Queenstown Impact Partner and donating  1% of proceeds each year.
